landscape designer & owner

Jeff is a landscape designer and creative director living in Brooklyn. He has a certificate of horticulture from the Brooklyn Botanic Gardens and a design degree from RISD.

Huntergreen is the intersection of his experience in art and design and his passion for the natural world.

Gardens and natural spaces provide an important balance to urban life. Time slows down and the act of ‘witnessing’ things grow is grounding and meditative. It’s a wonderful feeling to hand over a garden to a new gardener.
Our design aesthetic is inspired by the balance and artfulness of Japanese gardens and the winding, peaceful trails of New Hampshire, where I grew up. There is nothing more well designed than anything I’ve seen in one square foot of nature.
